Terry was a Centennial Visiting Scholar at Pace University in the heart of downtown Manhattan for almost a week, invited by the noted medievalist Martha Driver who is a professor there.
He gave several seminars and a public lecture, and had meals and informal conferences with students.
Terry also introduced the annual award ceremony for undergraduate writers by describing his own creative process at the age of 8 when he wrote a song - the audience were treated to a live performance of it too!
You can read more about Pace University here, or the PR for the American release of Barbarians here.
Whilst in New York, Terry was interviewed by ABC Radio News and local TV, and Vanity Fair magazine. He signed advance copies of his "Barbarians" book, and if you believe the rumours, was found partaking in a performance of The Lumberjack Song at a lesbian cabaret club.
